Laura James is a senior consultant with Public Sector Consultants. She provides consulting and program management services for Michigan Saves, an energy efficiency loan program targeting homes, business, and public institutions. Ms. James is responsible for managing contractor recruitment, measure eligibility, and contractor oversight; she recruits new lenders, maintains lender relations, and updates program policies and procedures as necessary. Ms. James also provides program support for operations, quality assurance, reporting, and evaluation to the BetterBuildings for Michigan program, a targeted energy efficiency promotion effort in selected neighborhoods across Michigan. Other duties include proposal development and research in energy policy.
Ms. James holds a BA in English and Spanish from the University of Virginia and an MS in Resource Economics from Michigan State University. She has also completed coursework in Economic Analysis and Environmental Regulation at the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
